Sevin Concentrate could be used on apricot trees for prevention and early treatment. Per the product label: Do not use on large trees or where pest populations are generally inaccessible to spray deposits, as inadequate performance will result. Unfortunately, once the borers have already infested the tree there are not any viable treatment options as they would be protected from sprays. In cases of infestation the general recommendation is to simply protect the surrounding trees with preventative sprays with a product labeled for such a use.
