Jessica from Cave In Rock Il writes

Will Tempo harm fowl such as chickens or quineas if they are on the treated area after the spray has dried?

I know that fowl peck the ground and eat bugs however I have a serious flea problem and my guineas are not yet old enough to be turned out. I want to spray my yard and barn

Answer:

Unless the chickens are consuming the Tempo SC directly there should be no effect on the bird or their eggs. Once the product has dried, it only has a toxicity level of that to kill something as small as an insect. The insect walks across it, picks up a little bit on their feet/bodies and ingests it as they groom themselves. For there to be even a chance of your chicken having any effect from the Tempo on the bugs, they would have to eat at least their weight worth in grasshoppers that have died from it.  All animals need to removed from the treatment area while applying until the application dries.
