Yes, if you drench a fire ant mound with Tempo SC Ultra it will elminate the colony and any ant that touches where you sprayed or poured the product. If you have a heavy problem with fire ants however we suggest using a product more specific to the pest like Extinguish Plus Fire Ant Bait.  Fire Ant Treatment Guide
