If you get a hit on one or multiple stations, you will replace the green inspection/monitoring cartridge with the bait cartridge in only the stations with activity. The bait will be carried through the colony and dispersed to feed the others and should kill the existing colony. If the termites have already found their way into your home but also found the stations, the bait cartridge alone will not rid you of that colony and a treatment with a product like Termidor would be needed.
