Will using Martins IGR along with Boric Acid be effective enough to kill all stages of fleas?

I know that you have to use an Adulticide along with the IGR in order to get rid of all forms of the fleas, but I don't want to use a harsh poison adulticide as I have hamsters that run around inside of balls at times.

Answer:

We do recommend using an adulticide with the Martins IGR, however, it can be used alone. It will take longer to get rid of the fleas since this product is just an insect growth regulator. We would recommend using Diatomaceous Earth instead of Boric Acid since that is mainly for roaches and other crawling insects. Also, we would recommend vacuuming daily in between treatments. You may want to consider using a gentle contact kill for adult fleas such as Wondercide Flea and Tick Pets and Home, which does not have restrictions on pets or people in the area at the time of use. Please check out our Flea Guide for tips on how to treat and prevent fleas in the future.
