    Q
Does this product "kill" venomous snakes, like copperheads?
    A
The EcoTreat Natural Outdoor Insect Control is primarily used for killing and controlling insects. It does provide some fungus control on lawns, and it will repel most species of snakes including copperheads but it does not kill them. Keep in mind, when using ANY repellant on an animal it may or may not work depending on how bad that animal wants to get to the other side of that irritant. Just as a dog on an electric fence knows that if he really wants that dog/cat on the other side he can get to it and just tolerate the temporary shock, any other animal can make that same decision. If actually killing the snakes is a priority to you, you may want to try Snake Traps that will catch them and allow you to dispose of them as you please. Let us know if we can be of any further assistance.

  • Asked by David from Huntsville
    04/30/2016
    Q
Would EcoTreat - Natural Outdoor Insect Control take care of hook worms?
    A

Unfortunately, there is not a product on the market that is labeled or recommended for hookworms. While some insecticides that are labeled for turf or lawn infesting insect may work, there has not been enough research to add hookworms to the product labels. We recommend that all animals be moved out of the contaminated area for at least 6 weeks (during warm spring/summer months, longer during cool winter/fall months) and all feces be removed. Keeping the animals out of the contaminated area for at least 6 weeks should help control the infestation pattern. It is also important to remove feces from the new latrine area to avoid another infestation.

  • Asked by Mary from Buchanan Michigan

    Q
Will Wondercide Outdoor Pest Control - Lawn and Landscape kill round and hook worms and their eggs?
    A

Unfortunately, there is not a product on the market that is labeled or recommended for hookworms so we cannot recommend using Wondercide Outdoor Pest Control - Lawn and Landscape to treat them. While some insecticides that are labeled for turf or lawn infesting insects may work, there has not been enough research to add hookworms to the product labels and none would kill the eggs. We recommend that all animals are moved out of the contaminated area for at least 1 year (during warm spring/summer months, longer during cool winter/fall months) and all feces be removed. Keeping the animals out of the contaminated area for at least 1 year should help control the infestation pattern. It is also important to remove feces from the new latrine area to avoid another infestation.  Another option is to remove the contaminated soil and replace if you cannot keep animals out for 1 year.

  • Asked by Rich0 from Greer Sc
    08/29/2021
    Q
Can Wondercide Outdoor Pest Control - Lawn and Landscape kill or control armyworms in my 6500 sq ft bermuda lawn?
I have an expensive Labrador Retriever that likes to sniff all around the yard and digs in the lawn. I have Talstar P and Bifen Granules but would prefer a more natural approach. We also have mosquitoes, flies and and starting to get ants.
    A

Wondercide Outdoor Pest Control-Lawn and Landscape is not labeled to treat armywormls therefore would not be recommended. Talstar P would be the best treatment for treating armyworms, mosquitoes, flies, ants, fleas, ticks and many other insects found around the lawn and home.

When applied per the product label and pets/kids are kept out of the area while treating and until the application has completely dried, there is no issue with pets re-entering the area, laying or digging where treated.

Please view our Armyworm Treatment Guide and Mosquito Treatment Guide for more information.
