Stuart from Palos Verdes, California writes

Would Fusilade II or Roudup QuickPRO be effective when treating Panic-Veldt?

Answer:

The studies done on Panic-Veldt using Fusillade have shown to be inconclusive, therefore it is not listed on the label. Using a glyphosate product (Roundup) applied as a foliar spray at 2 percent concentration with added surfactant was shown to be effective against Panic-Veldt. Using a product named Roundup QuickPRO will give you both treatments in one. QuickPRO has two active ingredients: 73.3% glyphosate and 2.9% diquat. The addition of diquat, along with the surfactant, gives you even faster burndown. It controls broadleaf and grass weeds, or woody brush and trees - roots and all.  Using a chemical method along with chemical treatment, will help with control unless you are able to to identify where this weeds originates. Regardless of the method used, more than one year of treatment will be necessary, due to its extensive seedbank, the persistence of which is unknown.
