Would STUF-FIT Copper Mesh be an appropriate product to close up an entry point from bats, and how would I seal it?

Bat removal - colony roosting behind front door molding - many years. I see there exit point - use mesh with Use mesh -leave 3-5 days spray with bac a zap - how to seal ? Use insulation then caulking?

Answer:

When preparing for exclusion with a bat issue you would want to be sure to close up all the potential entry points that are available. You can use STUF-FIT Copper Mesh to close off the entry points. When cleaning up any area that has bat droppings we recommend using our Basic Safety Kit. Bat droppings contain certain elements that you would not want to breath into your lungs. There is no special procedure for removing the bat droppings: a putty knife to chip away at the droppings and a bucket are the usual items needed. You can then use a product like Bac-A-Zap Odor Eliminator to get rid of any odor or organic matter left behind. You could then use a product like Pur Black Foam to seal up and cracks, crevices, or voids.
