Jonathan from Honolulu, Hi writes

You recommend using Fenvastar Ecocap every 2weeks to treat bedbugs but do you have something that lasts longer

Suspend SC or CB Intruder HPX says it lasts 3months or 4 to 8 weeks, but do you still recommend that I treat the area every 10 days for at least 3 treatments instead of every 3months with Suspend SC for the treatment of bed bugs?

Answer:

For bed bugs you have to spray every 7-14 days until you can go 30 days with no bites or signs of bedbugs. The residual on Fenvastar is 90 days indoors just like the Suspend but that is for all bugs EXCEPT bedbugs. Their bodies work completely differently and the product is not strong enough after that period of time to still be killing them. Their reproductive cycle is also every 7-14 days so this is yet another reason why you spray in that time frame. We do not recommend using Suspend for bed bug treatments because there are known strains of the pest that are resistant to that chemical. Please review our guide on How To Get Rid of Bedbugs for proper treatments for this difficult pest.
