Biting/stinging flies swarming 2 dogs, causing raw spots, what do you reccommend ?

Tried Sevin Dust 5%, but great and lasting results. It use to work for my cattle, horn flies and such, but just doesn't do the trick for the dogs. At my age of 75, down on the farm, I'm looking for what you young folks have come up with that will really do the trick. Please email me your response,,, Please.
