    Will Bonide Copper Fungicide harm honey bees?

    Bonide Liquid Copper Fungicide Concentrate does not have any insecticidal properties and should not harm bees as long as it is applied when the bees are not activiely foraging on the given plant.

    There is no specific pre harvest interval time for the Bonide Liquid Copper Fungicide Concentrate on tomatoes. You can apply the product up until the harvest day.

    Will Bonide Liquid Copper Fungicide kill leaf curl?
    I have 3 trees currently infected with Taphrina deformans. I realize I can only prevent next years outbreak but still curious if this is the right product?

    Bonide Liquid Copper Fungicide is labeled for Taphrina deformans otherwise known as Peach Leaf Curl and should do a great job for you.

    How long can mixed, unused product be stored in a container before losing potency?
    A
    It is recommended that you use any mixed solution of Bonide Liquid Copper Fungicide Concentrate within 24 hours after mixing. For any unused concentrate, store at room temperature in the sealed bottle and can last for up to 1 year.

    How long do I have to wait before I can eat snap beans that was sprayed with copper fungicide?

    There is no specific harvest time for snap beans after applying Bonide Liquid Copper Fungicide. You can spray the product up to the day of harvest. We would recommend washing the vegetables thoroughly before eating. If you have any additional questions, please let us know.

    I sprayed after zucchini was mature, alright to eat? Want to keep lady bugs, harmful to them? Does it kill good insects like lady bugs?

    Bonide Liquid Copper Fungicide Concentrate can be applied up to harvest, just be sure to wash well before eating.  Liquid Copper is a fungicide only and should not affect insects like lady bugs.

    Can I use Bonide Liquid Copper Fungicide as a systemic drench?
    After removing overgrown ornamental strawberries, I have discovered powdery mildew on the soil and remaining bark. I have removed as much of the back as possible, but wish to treat the soil before planting flowers.
    A

    Bonide Liquid Copper Fingicide Concentrate is not labeled to be used as a systemic drench. We would recommend using Agrisel BioPhos Pro Systemic Fungicide. It provides preventive and curative control of plant fungal diseases like Phytophthora, downy mildew, powdery mildew, greasy spot, late blight, and more. It is absorbed by the plants through its roots and foliage.  The residential/homeowner application instructions are below. 

    For preventative control of certain diseases in ornamentals. For soil drench, apply BIOPHOS™ PRO Fungicide at a 0.5% dilution. Mix 1/8 cup (2 tbsp) of BIOPHOS™ PRO Fungicide per gallon of water, and apply with a watering can or other device so as to wet the root zone.

    I sprayed my tree with Bonide Liquid Copper Fungicide when it flowered. Will the fruit be edible?

    It sounds like you used Bonide Liquid Copper Fungicide Concentrate exactly like it was intended to be used and the fruit will be edible. Please take a few moments to read over the product label to be sure you are using the correct concentration for the type of tree you are treating and to be sure you are treating at the correct intervals.

    I need something to treat shot hole disease on Otto Luyken Laurel.

    Is Bonide Liquid Copper Fungicide Concentrate safe for birds & butterflies?

    Bonide Liquid Copper Fungicide Concentrate does not have any insecticidal properties and should not harm birds or bees as long as it is applied when the birds and butterflies (and bees) are not actively foraging on the given plant.  Apply in the early morning or late evening when less active and avoid spraying the blooms to limit potential contact.

    When is it best to treat pine trees with Bonide Liquid Copper Fungicide Concentrate?

    When you apply Bonide Liquid Copper Fungicide Concentrate will depend on the disease you are treating. If you are treating pine trees for needle blight, then you would apply when new needles are just emerging. Mix at a rate of 0.5 to 2.0 fl oz in one gallon of water, and spray until needles are thoroughly wet with spray. Please see the product label for complete application instructions.

    I just bought ladybugs for my greenhouse and I don't want to kill them.

    Can you use Bonide Liquid Copper Fungicide Concentrate on an ornamental cherry when the temperature is above 80?
    I have been told not to use this on my ornamental cherry for leaf spot when the temp is over 80 degrees - is this true? It now often gets near 90 degrees by the end of the day - so thought I could spray early in the day but do not want to cause problems.

    Like most products, Bonide Liquid Copper Fungicide Concentrate should not be used in temperatures over 85 degrees. We usually recommend that you spray early in the morning or in the evening when the temperatures are usually cooler and the product will have time to dry before temperatures reach 85 or above. Spraying in the heat of the day will cause the foliage to burn.

    Can I mix Bonide Copper Fungicide in with the soil to stop fungus?

    Bonide Liquid Copper Fungicide Concentrate needs to be applied directly to infected plants for disease.  It cannot be applied to soil.  Nova Green Companion Biological Fungicide is an option for soil borne and foliar fungal and bacterial diseases.

    Can I mix liquid Sevin with Bonide Liquid Copper Fungicide Concentrate ?

    Bonide Liquid Copper Fungicide Concentrate and Sevin should be able to be mixed  and applied together according to the labels’ instructions for what you are targeting. We suggest doing a jar test first to make sure the products combine well.

    Also, must the vegetation be washed with soap and water?

    Per the label of Bonide Liquid Copper Fungicide Concentrate, there is no wait time to consume the listed vegetables before consumption. We would recommend washing anything off before consuming it.
