Bonide Malathion Insect Control concentrate can be used in a fogging application outdoors for control of mosquitoes. Bonide Malathion Insect Control concentrate is also known as Cythion.

Details

CONTROLS scales, thrips, leafhoppers, Japanese beetles, codling moths and other listed sucking and chewing insects. Also controls mosquitoes and small flying insects. USE on asparagus, tomatoes, lettuce, melons, squash, blackberries, citrus fruits, listed ornamental plants and shrubs (ornamental herbaceous plants, ornamental non-flowering plants, ornamental woody shrubs and vines), roses and carnations, plus other listed fruits and vegetables.     I used it around my home as a preventive fumigation in my new home. I never seen any roach or any other insect infestations or at least one inside and outdoor. The odor is strong so that's the only negative issue. You have to spray it outdoor and in a windy day because the odor is strong

Is Malathion safe to spray on raspberry bushes that already have some fruit on them?

I have a ton of Japanese Beetles that have infested my raspberry bushes and I want to use something safe.

Yes, you may use Bonide Malathion 50E Concentrate on Raspberry bushes that are producing fruit. You may make up to 3 applications per year, at least 7 days apart, and do not apply within 1 day of harvest. Please read the Bonide Malathion 50E Concentrate product label before use for complete instructions.

Can Bonide Malathion be used as a drench to control root aphids? Can it be tank mixed with other insectisides?

Bonide Malathion 50E is labeled to be used as a foliar spray. It is a contact kill for a variety of insects and is not labeled to be used as a drench. It can be mixed with other insecticides unless the label states otherwise.

If you are looking for a systemic treatment for root aphids, Merit 2F is a very good product.
It is labeled to be used in/on turfgrass, sod farms, fruit and nut Trees, interior plantscapes, and ornamental landscapes.

You will need to wait about two hours or until the Bonide Malathion 50E Concentrate application has dried before allowing pets and people back into the treated area.

How much Bonide Malathion 50E Concentrate would it take to spray 3 acres?

Need flea control, and a few other ground insects on approx. 3 acres.

You would need to use approx. 3 pints of Bonide Malathion 50E Concentrate to treat 3 full acres. You want to mix at a rate of .5 - 1 fl oz Bonide Malathion 50E Concentrate into one gallon water. Please review the product label for application.

Can Bonide Malathion 50E Concentrate be used on 1" Norway Maples that Japanese Beetles?

The leaves are starting to droop.

Bonide Malathion 50E Concentrate is more used on edibles plants and crops and ornamental shrubs and vines and does not list trees on the product label.

Talstar P is our most popular product for Japanese Beetles on ornamental trees and would be great to use.
