Can Acephate 97UP Insecticide be diluted/poured at trunk of large trees for tent caterpillars and fall webworms?

Large birch trees (N Florida) have been getting worse each of last 2 years with tent caterpillars & webworms - horrible defoliage, etc. Treated w/Bayer Tree Insecticide at base of trees last year - did nothing. Too large to spray. What would be the dilution rate?

Answer:

No, Acephate 97UP Insecticide is only labeled for soil drench treatments when treating for fire or harvester ants. The products that are generally recommended for tent caterpillars and webworms are only foliar treatments, such as Conserve SC.
