Paul from Norcross writes

Can fleas kill dogs?

Answer:

While there is no evidence that dogs have died from flea bites, they can make your pet very uncomfortable. Fleas can be a source of disease and irritation for pets, since they scratch constantly while infested, roughing up their coats and causing sores. Animals can develop an allergy to these bites, which can cause an extreme reaction. Some fleas can transmit diseases if they have been feeding on infected rats and can also carry tapeworms. Please look at our Flea Control Page  and Pet Flea Control Page for tips and products that will treat the inside and outside of your home as well as your pet.
