Can Phantom be applied to trees/plants/bushes to treat aphids, scales, etc.?

I think Talstar P works for trees/plants/bushes but I am curious if Phantom can be used instead? I am going to purchase Termidor for perimeter ant control and I would like to buy another product for using in between the biannual Termidor treatments. I would also like to spray my plants for scales and aphids to to cut off the food sources for white-footed ants (which I have). I would like to use the same chemical for my intermediate spray and on my plants so I don't have to buy a 3rd product. Can Phantom be used that way?

Answer:

No,  Phantom Termiticide/Insecticide cannot be used on bushes, shrubs, or ornamentals or outdoors as a permieter treatment. It is restricted to spot and crevice treatments on the exterior of the structure only such as around pipes and similar pest entry points. In this situation, Talstar P would be the preferred treatment for aphids on your plants. Simply mix 0.5 oz. per gallon of water and thoroughly spray the target plant to ensure full coverage.
