Q&A Home

Julio from Overland Park, Kansas writes,

Can I use dominion 2L on potted hibiscus trees?

We have two large potted hibiscus trees that are brought inside the house during winter. we treated with Bonide systemic granules for infestation of whiteflies, but will have to retreat in two months. Both products' main ingredient is imidaclorid. Can I use dominion 2l as systemic treatment since it would be more economical? Also, when outside, would systemic residue be present in the blooms, causing harm to honeybees?

Dominion 2L can be used to treat the hibiscus trees. Honey bees could potentially be effected by the active ingredient though many of the pest control industry experts seem to think that any impact is very minimal when applied as a drench to the soil/roots.
