Can I use Jecta by removing the caulking around the window instead of drilling, and then reapply the caulk?

Do you have a better product that can be used around the window?

Answer:

Jecta is a ready-to-use formulation of Boracare that is designed to be used on wood that is already finished or that may be hard to reach to treat with Boracare. If a windowsill or frame has wood-boring beetles and the wood is raw, then it would be best to treat the wood with Boracare. You could then paint, seal, or stain the wood after treatment. If the wood is finished and you were to remove caulking, then you would still need to drill into the wood in order to apply the Jecta to the infested spots.
