I will cover the vent and seal off the door with tape/plastic, and hang several strips. Would the vapor penetrate the floor to the room below? Are there any items this would not work well for?
For larger areas such as rooms, the Nuvan ProStrips Large Size would be recommended. One 65 g strip of the Nuvan ProStrips Large will treat 900 to 1200 cubic feet which is about equal to an average room 10' x 13' with an 8-foot ceiling for up to four (4) months. In a larger room, if more than one strip is required, keep them at least 10 feet apart. Record the date of installation so that the old strip may be replaced with a new, fresh, full-strength strip at the end of the four (4) month period or when effectiveness diminishes. The smaller Nuvan ProStrips will treats about 100 to 200 cubic feet of space for 4 months. Only use one strip per 100-200 cubic foot of enclosed area. It is important to keep in mind that Nuvan ProStrips are not a substitute for detailed crack and crevice treatment for bed bugs, and they should not be relied upon as the sole treatment for a bed bug infestation.
