Sonny from Virginia Beach, Va writes

Can you start the application of Rodeo Herbicide in the spring on phragmites or do you have to wait till late summer?

Just looking for the most effective time to apply. Some sites mention waiting until late summer, but I'd like to start as the plants emerge because they are easier to access. I'm in Virginia off the Chesapeake on a tidal river. Thanks for your help.

Answer:

It is recommended to use Rodeo Herbicide to control phragmites in the late summer when the plants are actively growing and in full bloom.
