    How long after application od confront must you not have rain for it to be effective in weed control?
    A

    As long as there is a 4 hour time frame of no rain after application of Confront the treated area will be rainfast.

    Can I spray Confront Herbicide on flower bed before planting flowers?
    Have what we call dollar weed on topsail island and Confront controls it. Have added to landscaping and the weed has popped up . Can I spray the beds and then in a couple of days plant flowers, shrubs etc as long as we don't disturb the soil too much

    You cannot use Confront on a flower bed in the same season you plan to plant flowers as damage may occur to the plants.

    Confront is labeled for and will work for a couple of different types of thistle, Canada thistle and musk thistle.

    Confront is not labeled for Ground Ivy, aka Creeping Charlie.     Is Confront Herbicide harmful to pets after it has dried?
    A

    Confront Herbicide should be applied when the pets are not in the area. Once the treated surfaces are completely dried then they can return.

    When is the best time to apply Confront Herbicide to control Wild Violets in Tall Fescue grass?
    A

    Confront Herbicide works best when applied to activly growing Wild Violet in Tall Fescue. Be sure temps are between 65-80 degrees at time of application.

    Is Confront safe for use on our well-established St. Augustine lawn?
    We have a nutsedge problem. Image has not worked. A lawn service rep (who knows our lawn) highly recommended confront. The product came today--thanks for the speedy service. The label does not specify St. Augustine.

    Confront Herbicide should NOT be applied to St. Augustine turf or residential lawns per the product label.

    Southern Ag Basagran Sedge Control is labeled to treat for nutsedge in St. Augustine grass and would not harm the grass.  Though our most popular product for nutsedge in the Sedgehammer Herbicide.  It can be used in St. Augustine as well.

    Will Confront kill broad leafed dock weed?
    Broad Leafed dock weed is taking over my fence rows -- not the curly the large broad leaf that looks a bit like rubarb -- I have herd that Clopyralid will kill it - does Confront contain enough to kill the dock weed?

    Since the product is not labeled for dock weed, we recommend contacting your local extension office and speaking with the master gardener in your area. The master gardener will help to advise you on what products to use in your area to treat dock weed.

    Will Confront Herbicide kill Kudzu?

    Confront Herbicide is not specifically labeled for kudzu.  Ranger Pro Herbicide is labeled for kudzu.     Will Confront kill crown vetch? The vetch has grown over the juniper ground cover.
    I am at my wits end with this invasive vetch...help!

    Will confront kill crown vetch and not kill mertyl.

    Confront Herbicide is not labeled fot crown vetch. We would recommend contacting Dow AgroSciences at 800-992-5994 to verify if this product is a good fit for you. you may also want to  contact your Local Cooperative Extension Office and speak with the Master Gardnener for tips on that sort of treatment.

    Will Confront Herbicide work on yellow nutsedge?

    No, Confront Herbicide is not labeled to kill yellow nutsedge. You can use SedgeHammer Herbicide: it’s labeled to kill nutsedge without injury to most, if not all, warm and cool season grasses. We do recommend reading over the label to ensure it’s labeled for your type of turfgrass.

    Will Confront harm juniper?
    Looking to kill Canada Thistle among low growing Juniper.
    A

    Confront Herbicide is not labeled as safe to apply over juniper.  Lontrel Turf and Ornamental would be a better option.  For control of weeds such as Canada thistle and knapweeds, apply after the majority of the basal leaves have emerged, but before bud stage. Later application may result in less consistent control.

    Why is Confront Herbicide not labeled for residential use?
    A

    Confront Herbicide is not registered for residential use either because the manufacturer did not desire this registration, or because of the active ingredient Clopyralid. We are unaware of any products containing Clopyralid that are registered for use in residential areas.
