Do cockroaches become resistant to Advion Roach Bait Gel over time?

About a year ago I purchased this gel and it worked beautifully to get rid of the roaches I saw in my kitchen. After applying it for several weeks, I went all winter without seeing any roaches. The spring after that, I saw more roaches and applied Advion to get rid of them. However, it doesn't seem to have done anything. There are no dead roaches lying around like last year. I'm thinking the new generation of cockroaches is not affected by this gel because they grew resistant to it. What should I do if this is the case? Is there another product I can try?

Answer:

Yes, roaches can become resistant to Advion Roach Bait Gel (or any other roach bait gel) over time if the same active ingredient is continuously used.  We do recommend switching up roach bait gels periodically so that this does not happen. Please take a look at our selection of roach bait gels for some other options.
