Dave from San Jose, Ca writes

Do I need a respirator and safety glasses while spraying BoraCare?

Is Boracare harmful to humans if inhaled? Does Boracare produce toxic if fumes if inhaled? Will direct contact with Boracare damage eyes?

Answer:

BoraCare is relatively safe product to use as long as the Product Label is followed. The active ingredient in Boracare is an inorganic salt. The BoraCare product label recommends that users wear goggles, gloves, long sleeve shirts, long pants, shocks, and shoes. If you will be performing the appliction in an area that is NOT well ventilated such as an attaic or crawlspace then a respirator mask would be recommended. As for the effects of the odor/fumes or eye contact, we would recommend you contact Nisus, the manufacturer at 800-264-0870.
