Robert from Asheville, Nc writes

Do I place the tablets in the drip line of hemlocks with woolly adelgids or right around the trunk?

Answer:

CoreTect Tree & Shrub Tablets are great for treatment of Hemlock trees, especially because they are so easy to apply and a lot of times the Hemlock trees are located in hard to reach areas in the mountains.  The CoreTect tablets should be applied at a rate of 2-3 tablets per inch of trunk diameter at chest height.  The number of trees one bottle of tablets can treat will be dependent  the diameter of the trees.  This product will take care of the hemlock wooly aldegid insect that is doing so much damage to hemlock trees in the mountains. Be sure to apply inside the drip line, but as close to the trunk as possible.
