Does Boracare leave a shiny/glossy kind of residue?

I used Boracare underneath my foyer. Mixed 1:1 of water:Boracare with drill for 5 to 10 minutes in warm to hot water. Used right away. Some spots have a shiny or glossy look to the wood and I just want to make sure this is normal and it seeped into the wood.

Answer:

Boracare should not leave any kind of visible residue once it has dried.  If you are seeing spots that look shiny, this is usually because these areas have not yet fully dried.  In most cases, it takes 24-48 hours for a Boracare application to dry thoroughly.
