    Q
What is the quantity of dust emitted with each stoke of duster? Dependent on number of extensions?
Do large and/or indeterminate locations of nests need larger quantities of dust?
    A
There is not an exact answer as to how much dust comes out of the Dustick Duster, but the less dust you have in a nest the better.  You should always use 1 to 2 puffs from the duster.  You want a very light coating of dust inside a next.  If you use too much dust it acts as a repellent to the insects.  The less dust the better.

    Q
How do I prevent the dust in myDustick Duster caking up in humid weather?
Is there any way yo keep the Dustick Duster from clogging up during humid weather. It worked fine and then the dew point went up and the dust was squirting out and then stopped. Earlier in the morning it was dusting great.
    A

To prevent caking or clumping of dusts in the Dustick Duster you can add a small pebble or marble.  Also be sure to shake occasionally and not leave dust in the cannister when not in use.

    Q
I'm a bit confused. How do I fill the Dustick canister? I put Tempo dust in and it goes right out the bottom.
    A

Dust will fall to the bottom of the cannister on the Dustick Duster (with 21-foot reach) A handle at one end of the pole is used to pump air all the way through the extension to the dusting canister and tip on the other end, causing dust to be expelled.  We do recommend filling only halfway.

    Q
Looking for parts for a 21 ft Dustick Duster I purchased from you, can you help with this?
Additionally is there a compressed air apparatus that can be used instead of the hand pump?
    A
We currently carry most of the parts of the unit separately as well as the items in the Dustick Deluxe for you to add them to your standard Dustick unit. Please give our customer service team a call at 1-866-581-7378 so that we can go over what parts you need, and get any we may not already have set up. We do not currently know of a compressed air item to add to the Dustick unit.

    Q
Do you have a suggestion to get the dust to come out of the Dustick Duster consistently?
I have put 2 small stones in the canister but find that I have to shake it often or it stops putting out dust. Have it 1/2-3/4 full. It is scary to be in or beside a hornet nest and have no dust coming out!
    A

We would recommend that you do not fill it any more than half full. Unfortunately, putting a stone and/or penny in the bulb will help keep the dust from clumping too fast but you will still need to shake the duster occasionally.

    Q
Can you use Dustick with extensions with liquid residual sprays like demand cs or other liquid residuals?
    For Carpenter bee prevention
    A
The Dustick is not meant for applying liquid applications.  It is only made for applying dust.  They do make a dustick deluxe that will apply dust, and it has an attachment for dispensing aerosol cans, but it will not do liquids.  The highest reaching sprayer that we carry is the Chapin slide pump sprayer.

    Q
Can you buy additional poles to extend the reach on the Dustick Duster (with 21-foot reach)?
    A

The manufacturer does not recommend using additional poles with the Dustick Duster (with 21-foot reach) as the weight of the poles can cause the duster to break.

Please view our How to Use the Dustick Duster Video showing how to assemble and use the duster.

    Q
The dust is not coming out of the tip on my Dustick Duster (with 21-foot reach), what are we doing wrong?
My company uses this duster for bee treatments so it is important we figure out how to get it to work.
    A

You could be using too much dust in the cannister or the extension tip could possible be clogged. We recommend cleaning the extension tip of any buildup or dust residue and also, only fill the cannister about ½ way dust. Overfilling the cannister will not allow the air to blow the dust through the tip.

The Dustick Duster (with 21-foot reach) is operated by the handle at one end of the pole being used to pump air all the way through the extension to the dusting canister and tip on the other end, causing dust to be expelled.
