    Q
Which one of your anti dust products is equivalent to the Ortho Ant-stop Ant Killer Dust?
I've used the Ortho for years and it works. I'm out. What product do you have that has the same active ingredient, chlorpyrifos?
    A
The active ingredient chlorpyrifos was banned for home use and is severely restricted in agricultural uses by the EPA in 2001 because of health concerns. We do have current dust insecticides such as Delta Dust, Tempo Dust and Drione Dust and each product is labeled for use in the home for ant control.

    Q
Does Eco PCO D-X Dust kill and deter stink bugs?
    A
Eco PCO D-X Dust will kill stink bugs but should not be used to repel them. It should also be noted, Eco PCO D-X Dust as well as all other dust insecticides do not kill immediately. The dust will take several days to actually kill the insect. We do have an "Overwintering Pest Kit" that comes with everything you need to stop stink bugs from making their way indoors. It is important to spray outdoors every month through the season to stop the bulk of the stink bugs from making their way in.

    Q
Can Eco PCO D-X Dust be used on plants such as ornamentals ?
    A
Eco PCO D-X Dust is labeled to be used on vegetation as long as it is within 10 feet of the perimeter of your home but it is not labeled for use out in the yard. PyGanic Dust with 1% Pyrethrin is a botanical insecticide dust that treats a broad range of insects and is labeled for use on ornamental plants specifically. Please take a few minutes to review page 4 of Pyganic dust product label to be sure it will fit your needs. Pyganic dust has now been replaced with the Evergreen Pyrethrum Dust.

    Q
Will Eco PCO D-X Dust work on other beetles like drugstore or biscuit beetles?
I bought this dust thinking I had black carpet beetles. However, taking a closer look, they more resemble another beetle like a biscuit or drugstore beetle. They are not in my pantry. I'd like to use this dust in cracks in the baseboards and around the windows.
    A
Eco PCO D-X Dust - 10 oz. will also treat Drug store beetles. Once the beetle travels over the dusted it will kill them. You may also want to use Pantry Patrol Pheromone traps to help trap the adults. You can also add an growth regulator like Gentrol IGR Aerosol to the mix to spray into crevices to keep the insects from reproducing.

    Q
Is ECO PCO D-X Dust the best dust for bed bugs?
Can I use it behind and under furniture and can it be used in tufts and seems of couches?
    A
Eco PCO D-X Dust - 10 oz will kill bed bugs, but all dust products typically can take up to a week to actually kill a bed bug.  Dust products alone will not eliminate a bed bug problem.  It is recommended to use many different products in the proper manner, since different products can be used different places and bed bugs can hid anywhere.  This is why we sell Bed Bug Kits.  They come with full instructions and consist of all of the best products available to professionals in a homeowner kit.  They have a very high success rate as long as you follow the instructions and treat thoroughly.  And they will save you a ton of money over hiring an exterminator.

    Q
Is Eco PCO D-X Dust effective against carpenter bee larvae?
Carpenter bees have attacked my porch ceilings. I would like to squirt dust into the tunnels before I plug them up (I will use spray on the hole exteriors).
    A
Eco PCO D-X Dust will be great to lightly dust the openings of the holes that the carpenter bees have created. You should leave them unplugged for a 2-3 months to be sure that no new holes will occur. We recommend using a dust applicator to puff the dust in the holes. Eventually, the larvae inside the gallery will hatch (usually within 3 months), so you need to attack the nest directly. Then when the larvae do hatch, the newly emerged adult bees will fly through the dusted gallery, getting some of the dust on their wings and bodies. As the chemical is absorbed, the carpenter bees will begin to die.

    Q
Will Eco PCO D-X Dust still be effective after sitting in a hot garage?
    A

It depends how long the Eco PCO D-X Dust has been left in the garage and at what temperature it has been sitting. As long as there has not been to much extreme temperature change from hot to cold or any moisture issues or been a constant temperature over 90 degrees, it should be effective for 3-5 years.

    Q
Will Eco PCO D-X Dust kill bed bugs? How long will it last before you need to reapply? Should this be the only product for treating the house for bedbugs?
    A

Eco PCO D-X Dust is a great dust for the voids of the structure for insect control including bedbugs. If left undisturbed it will last for up to 8 months, otherwise, you will need to reapply if it's removed. We recommend that you apply the products in one of our Bedbug Kits since a dust is not the only product that will treat your home for bedbugs. Please take a few moments to review our treatment article on How to Get Rid of Bedbugs for a more successful eradication program.
