    Will Cedar oil, such as go gnats affect the nematodes
    A
    We apologize we are not familiar with Go Gnats. Cedar Oil should not affect Nematodes. because the Nematodes thrive in soil. Cedar Oil wil lnot leach into soil.

    Will ENTONEM work for the control of springtails?
    A

    Unfortunately, the ENTONEM - Live Nematodes (Steinernema feltiae) will not take care of the springtail problem.  Typically, pesticides alone will not take care of a springtail problem. You will not get complete springtail control until you locate the source of the springtails and correct the conditions that are allowing them to thrive.     What to use to get rid of nematodes?
    The look like skinny caterpillars about 1" long with lots of legs. I have 3 dogs and these worms are crawling up the wood posts in my carport and coming into my house.

    Nematodes are usually microscopic insects that in some situations attack plants. Have you had the pest you are seeing properly identified?     ENTONEM - Live Nematodes (Steinernema feltiae) is only designed to kill the Larvae of Sciarid flies (Sciaridae), Immature Dipterous Insects (Mushroom Flies, Fungus Gnats, Tipulids) and Lepidopterous Larvae.  They should not harm other beneficial insects or non-target insects.

    I have told to use Beneficial Nematodes Hb solution for ants and grubs. Your opionion on this versus Sf?

    We have recently started carrying beneficial nematodes for use against Sciarid flies, fungus gnats, tipulids, and mushroom flies. we are not sure which nematodes would be beneficial against ants or grubs.     Will ENTONEM - Live Nematodes work for flea infestation?

    We are not currently aware of any nematodes that specifically control fleas. We recommend spraying topically with products like those that are contained in our  Flea Control Kit for the best results.

    Will Entonem work to reduce cluster flies (Polienia rudis)?
    If not is their another species of Nematode that will work?

    Unfortunately, the ENTONEM Live Nematodes (Steinernema feltiae) are not labeled to control Cluster Flies.     Will Entonem work on controlling flea larvae in your yard?
    Larvae of Sciarid flies (Sciaridae). Immature dipterous insects, including mushroom flies, fungus gnats, and tipulids as well some lepidopterous larvae.

    ENTONEM is labeled for the larvae of Sciarid flies (Sciaridae). Immature dipterous insects, including mushroom flies, fungus gnats, and tipulids as well some lepidopterous larvae. It is not specifically labeled for fleas. We would recommend our Outdoor/Indoor Flea Kit. It comes with an insecticide and an IGR (insect growth regulator) to stop the fleas from reproducing.

    Are there any entomopathogenic fungi products for pests other than nematodes?

    When can I spray with Entonem - Live Nematodes to prevent Japanese Beetles?
    When to spray nematodes to best kill Japanese Beetle larvae. I live in the north east US, NJ

    Entonem - LIve Nematodes is not labeled to kill white grubs. If you're interested in live nematodes, Orcon Beneficial Nematodes would be the ones to use. With these Beneficial Nematodes you can apply at any time because they will attack wintering adult insects, diapausing larvae, pupae, and grubs when in the soil, bark, or even ground litter. You also have the option of using Merit Granules to treat before the white grub eggs hatch, for this method of treatment it is best to check with your local cooperative extension office to check for best time of application.
