The Espoma Lawn Food 15-0-5 is a safe and easy to use product for lawn feeding. It contains non-staining iron and now features enhanced Biotone microbes. The product effectively provides a slow release of nitrogen for extended feeding. It is a non-burning and easy to apply lawn food that is also safe to use around kids and pets. Available in a 40 lb. bag, the Espoma Lawn Food is used on perennial ryegrass, cool season grasses, bluegrass, fine and tall fescue, bentgrass or warm season grasses including Bermudagrass, St. Augustine grass, centipede grass and zoysiagrass.

Where To Use:

For use on all lawns like cool season grasses including bluegrass, fine fescue, tall fescue and perennial ryegrass. It is also used on warm season grasses including bentgrass, Bermudagrass, St. Augustine grass, zoysiagrass and centipede grass.

When To Use:

Feed any time grass is actively growing:

  • Cool season grass: Feed 3-4 times each year: Early Spring, Later Spring (Optional), Early Fall and Late Fall.
  • Warm season grass: Feed 4-5 times each year: Later Winter, Early Spring, Later Spring, Late Summer and Fall.

Note: Can be used on established lawns, as well as new seed/sod installations.

Application Rate:

  • Established Lawns: Feed at a rate of 3.3 lbs. per 1,000 sq. ft.
  • New Lawns/Over-seeding: Feed at a rate of 4 lbs. per 1,000 sq. ft. Seed can be sown on the same day of application.
  • Sodding: Apply to the finished grade soil prior to installation at a rate of 4 lbs. per 1,000 sq. ft.

How To Use:

Apply to a dry lawn that has recently been mowed. Use a drop or broadcast spreader and be certain to overlap slightly to prevent striping. For best results, water lightly after the application if rain is not expected within 24 hours.
