    How fast does Ferti-lome Rose & Flower Food with Systemic Insecticide work at killing aphids on rose bushes?

    Ferti-lome Rose & Flower Food with Systemic Insecticide is labeled for aphids. It does take time to kill as it is a systemic control which takes a couple of months to work through the root zone.

    Does this prevent bugs from eating all the leaves?
    I have forsythia & rose of sharon that are eaten clean of leaves!

    Fertilome Rose & Flower Food with Systemic Insecticide works best when used prior to infestations. The active ingredient works by ingestion so it is possible the leafs might be a nibbled a bit before death occurs.

    Fertilome Rose & Flower Food with Systemic Insecticide is absorbed through the root of the plant, feeding and protecting the entire plant from insects for 8 weeks. Per the product label repeat application up every weeks during growing season to roses, shrubs, and flowers.

    My directions came off the container how much per rose bush do I just sprinkle around bush an water help please

    You will use  2 oz. (4 tbsp.) of the Ferti-Lome Rose & Flower Food with Systemic Insecticide, per plant.  It should be applied evenly to the soil on top and watered in.  You will wear gloves while incorporating the water into the soil.

    Fertilome Rose & Flower Food with Systemic Insecticide should be applied evenly to the soil on top and watered in. You will wear gloves while incorporating the water in the soil. For shrubs, you will 4 oz per foot of the plants height. Please refer to the product label prior to application for complete instructions.
