Fuse Foam Ready-to-Use Termiticide Insecticide

Fuse Foam Ready-to-Use Termiticide Insecticide contains Fipronil and Imidacloprid, the same proven, non-repellent active ingredients as the Fuse Termiticide Insecticide, but in a ready-to-use foam that is easy-to-apply. For Direct Injection into termite and ant nests and galleries, structural voids, and other sites. Fuse Foam is the latest addition to the Control Solutions Inc. (CSI) products for managing termites and other wood destroying pests. Fuse Foam gives PMPs the opportunity to begin treating a structure immediately, right on the sales call; then schedule the full treatment for later. When it comes to stopping termites and ants, and preventing their spread inside a structure and with a 30:1 expansion ratio, Fuse Foam gives PMPs the ability to reach those tough-to-treat places with confidence.

WOOD DESTROYING TREATMENTS – OUTDOORS

Outdoor treatment locations may include infested trees, shrubs and tree stumps, and exterior wooden elements associated with bridges, decks, fencing, landscape timbers, wooden retaining walls, siding, channels in damaged wood, spaces between wooden elements of a structure, junctions between wood and foundations and voids associated with buildings. Applications to exposed subterranean termite tunnels, shelter tubes, may be made to both residential and commercial outdoor areas. Crack open a section of the shelter tube and apply directly over the exposed area. Apply enough FUSE FOAM to cover the exposed area and a distance of approximately 2 inches in each direction over the shelter tube itself.

Outdoor applications of this product must be limited to small spot treatments (not to exceed 2 sq. ft.) only.

TERMITES AND CARPENTER ANTS HARBORING IN STUMPS, UTILITY POLES, SLABS AND FENCES:

Drill 1 or more holes into areas of suspected termite or ant activity. It may be necessary to drill several holes around the circumference of the stump or utility pole, to properly treat the nest or gallery system. When treating below slabs, drill 1 or more holes through the slab where termites or carpenter ants are active, or suspected, and inject this product. For fences, treat exposed surfaces with this product where termites or ants are active (IMPORTANT: the foam must dissipate or excess foam must be removed before the applicator leaves the area) and/or drill wooden members where termites or ants are active, or suspected, and apply.

FORAGING CARPENTER ANTS:

Fuse Foam is intended for outdoor treatments for ant harborages or trails associated with decks, fences or other non-structural elements. Inject this product into galleries, cavities, harborages or structural voids. Apply the foam up to a 6” length of the ant trail. IMPORTANT: the foam must dissipate or excess foam must be removed before the applicator leaves the area.

CARPENTER BEES:

For use as a localized treatment. Apply foam directly into gallery entrance holes. Following treatment with the foam, the entrance holes may be plugged with a suitable material. IMPORTANT: the foam must dissipate or excess foam must be removed before the applicator leaves the area.

EXTERIOR PERIMETER/LOCALIZED INTERIOR

TERMITES [SUBTERRANEAN (Coptotermes, Reticulitermes, Heterotermes and Zootermopsis), and Arboreal]: FUSE FOAM can be used as a preventative for interior structural void treatment for subterranean termites. Interior applications to vulnerable areas are only intended for localized areas of existing or potential termite activity and must not be applied to indoor surfaces for the purposes of general pest control. FUSE FOAM is not for use as a substitute for soil applied termiticide treatment(s) beneath slabs or foundations.

Targeted interior application(s) of FUSE FOAM may be made to vulnerable areas such as voids associated with plumbing/utility lines penetrating floors, bath and/or shower voids, expansion joints and/or settlement cracks, wall voids and other voids of probable or potential termite entry.

NON-WOOD DESTROYING PEST TREATMENTS CRAWLING PESTS - Ants (Excluding Fire, Harvester, Leaf Cutter and Pharaoh): To kill ants in houses and other structures. This is not a substitute for mechanical alteration, soil or foundation treatment. Treat voids with this product, where these pests enter, hide or harbor. Apply by crack and crevice application. Apply to sufficiently cover the area, but do not allow excessive dripping or run-off to occur. Immediately wipe up any excess product on exposed surfaces.

5 of 5 stars  Using Fuse Foam
By Wayne in Bowie, Maryland on 10/13/2017

The key to using this product is finding the void in the wood where the nest is located. I probably drilled 40 or so holes, using a 1/4 inch drill bit, both into the plate board and the floor joists below the plate board, along the back wall of my house, in my effort to nail down the location of the Drywood Termite Nest, which I believe I did. The nest appears to be in two or 3 near by locations, perhaps 6-8" apart. Where the wood is solid, the drilling is tough going. You feel the void where the nest is located as resistance to the drill disappears after 2-3 inches. I drilled every 4'' along about 10' feet of the plate board. Ditto for the floor joists. Probably 10 or 12 of the holes penetrated the nest. The Foam flowed steadily into those holes. I am now awaiting results.

QWhat's the best treatment for termites in my bedroom closet?

QIs Fuse Foam Ready-to-Use Termiticide Insecticide the best product for my situation?
I have a 100+ year old brick house in which the wood flooring is very close to ground level and the crawlspace is too small to actually crawl in, so is basically inaccessible. There was a problem in the last year with an exterior wall just above grade level that allowed rainwater to get into the wall and presumably to seep into the ground below the floor as well. The wall has now been repaired but while I'm waiting for things to dry out, I'm concerned that the lingering dampness could invite termite infestation. I'm wondering if it would be a good idea to spray something into the void to prevent termites and, if so, if this would be the product to use or if something else would be better. Thank you

A

Fuse Foam Ready-to-Use Termiticide Insecticidewill not penetrate wood and the residual left behind will only last for about 6 weeks at most. You need to use Bora-Care as a foam application in a foamer with foaming agent.†Bora-Care†will penetrate several inches in to the wood and it will last for the life of the wood.

QWhat is the best termiticide product to treat my porch roof that is re infested with termites after fumigation with Vicane Gas?
We recently tented the home after termites were found on the enclosed porch FLAT roof. (Vicane gas) I still find residual pellets on my white furniture coming through the wood ceiling. How do I make sure I don't have a re infestation and would spraying the roof vents with Termidor work? I could foam through the small holes inside the room?

A

If you have Subterreanean Termites, you may treat the active colony directly with a termiticide foam such as Fuse Foam that is a combination of the best active ingredients for termite control (Fipronil & Imidacloprid). In addition to spot treating inside the wall void where the active colony is, we recommend doing a perimeter trench treatment with Taurus SC around the exterior of the home. Taurus SC is the generic form of Termidor SC and available in 20oz & 78oz bottles. You can view our How to Treat for Subterreanean Termite tutorial video here. †

Though fumigation kills all termites inside the house, the droppings will still be inside the termite galleries or tunnels inside the wood. Through constant movement of the house, for example, doors closing hard, natural movements, and the gravitational pull, you will still see termite droppings occasionally so this may be the case and not a reinfestation.
