Robby from Pensacola Florida writes

I have a 25 gal sprayer. I am Killing kudzu and weeds in a pine tree plantation. How many oz. to 25 gal?

How many oz. to 5 gal. For normal weeds in St. Augustine grass in my yard?

Answer:

According to the product label: Use on St. Augustinegrass, Bermudagrass and Zoysiagrass (Meyers and Emerald) Apply 0.25 to 1.0 oz. AmTide MSM 60 DF HERBICIDE per acre for weed control. Some chlorosis or stunting of the turfgrass may occur following application. RELEASE—HARDWOOD CONTROL AND SUPPRESSION AmTide MSM 60 DF HERBICIDE is recommended for application over the top of established slash and loblolly pine to control the species listed in “Weeds Controlled” and “Brush Species Controlled” section of this label. Apply 1 to 4 ounces per acre to control the species indicated, including kudzu. Keep in mind when dealing with herbicides, the amount of water is not the key in application. As long as you are following the label and dispersing the correct amount of product over the correct amount of area, the amount of water you use doesn't matter. On average you want to use at least 1-2 gallons of water per 1000 sq/ft you are treating. If it takes you 25 gallons of water to cover an acre, then you would mix up to 1 ounce of Amtide to the 25 gallons. If it takes you 50 gallons to cover an acre, you would split what you plan to use in half and treat half an acre at a time. Please let us know if you have any other questions.
