Sandy from Stuart, Florida writes

I have read that air plants won't kill plants but my bushes are dying since they have mulitiplied in numbers.

I noticed the air plants had increased quite a bit on by boxwood hedge and was affected quite a bit by this- so I started pulling them off the plant. Weeks later I noticed a significant improvement in the bushes and lots of new green growth! Is there a spray to kill air plants or do you have any suggestions to keep them off trees and bushes?

Answer:

We are unfamiliar with air plants in our area so we dont have information to accurately suggest a product that would suit your needs. For this type of situation we highly recommend contacting your local Master Gardner or Cooperative Extension for advice local to you. The links for those will direct you to the ones closest to your home. Also, if you are recommended a product, try consulting the manufacturer of the item for even further expertise.
