I have used the 1.47% imidacloprid as a drench for trees and shrubs with success for 3 yrs.

I see that you have Dominion which is 21.4% conc. of imidacloprid. Can this be diluted to the 1.47% for safe drench for trees and shrubs. If so, what is the dilution rate and wouldn't this be more cost efficient for me.

Answer:

Dominion 2L would be mixed following the instructions on the product label.   You should use 0.10.2 fl. oz. (3 to 6 mL) of Dominion 2L per inch of trunk diameter (or foot of shrub height) (D.B.H.) diluted in 1 pint - 1 gallon of water per inch of trunk diameter or foot of shrub height.  You would not be able to dilute to a 1.47% as it is a stronger product and the percentage of active is different when diluted.
