How does the Chapin Poly Adjustable Cone Nozzle (#6-6003) attach to the wand tube?

The non-rotating base part of the nozzle on my Chapin 20000 Sprayer appears to be fused to the wand tube. Can I cut off the tube and install the new 6-6003 Nozzle Assembly? Threaded tube? Compression? Adhesive?

Answer:

With most Chapin sprayers, the nozzle is threaded and the base screws onto the sprayer wand, then the nozzle itself adjusts by twisting to change the spray pattern. You may have an older sprayer that has the fused wand, one-piece design. If this is the case, we would not recommend trying to alter the wand. Instead, you can purchase a replacement wand and use the 6-6003 adjustable cone nozzle or another suitable nozzle. If you are still having trouble determining the type of sprayer or wand that you have, please contact Chapin directly at 800-950-4458. You can view the manual for the Chapin 20000 sprayer here.
