The only way to kill a tree is by cutting the tree down and applying a stump killer such as Fertilome Brush Killer and Stumper Killer to the newly cut stump within a few minutes after cutting. You would still need to do your part to remove the stump but the Fertilome Brush Killer and Stump Killer will prevent resprouting.
