If Advion Roach Bait Gel was gone within 24 hours should I reapply?

I have been seeing a few large cockroaches (German or American) here and there but recently a large influx of baby roaches (the size of a rice grain). On yesterday I completely cleaned out my food pantry and all cabinets where there was high activity of the babies and feces as suggested in your inspection page. I found the food source and removed it as well. After cleaning thoroughly I placed the gel bait as recommended. Today, all of the gel was gone to my surprise except in one spot (the only that was not a crack in the corner of the wall). I noticed the antennas of a large cockroach poking out of one of the holes. Should I just allow the bait to get spread throughout the light infestation or should I reapply where it once was. Also am I safe to use the Ortho Home Defense barrier spray outside my home as well as inside without disrupting the effectiveness of the gel bait?

Answer:

Most definitely you should re-apply the Advion Roach Bait Gel. This means that the roaches are eating the bait, and the more that eat the bait, the more of the population that will be eliminated. You should continue to put out the bait gel until the population is eradicated. You can use a residual spray outdoors around the home to help prevent future infestations.
