If Cypress trees have been sprayed with malathion should I treat with Imidacloprid

My cypress lelands have signs of bores and browning needles. I am paying to have them sprayed with malathion. Should I also soak the soil ( currently July) and apply imidacloprid for absorbtion into the tree?

Answer:

Annual Tree & Shrub Insect Control Concentrate can be applied systemically to cypress trees. Malathion can also be applied as a foliar contact kill.
