What is Indoxacarb?

Indoxacarb is a white powdered solid material formulated as a wettable granule and soluble concentrate. Indoxacarb is considered a suitable, "low-toxicity", synthetic organophosphate replacement. Pest control products containing Indoxacarb as an active ingredient are typically used on a wide range of crops for ants, roaches, and other sucking pests.

Indoxacarb: Mode of Action

Indoxacarb begins working when target pests either come into contact with the chemical or ingest treated foliage and fruit. Once absorbed or ingested, Indoxacarb inhibits the flow of sodium ions into nerve cells, resulting in impaired nerve function, inability to feed, paralysis, and eventually death. This process begins immediately but it may take several days for the insect to die.

Advion Roach & Ant Products: "Faster. Smarter. Better."

DuPont Professional Products has declared its new line of Advion brand pest control products with the active ingredient Indoxacarb faster, smarter, and better pest control. With great success, Advion is redefining the meaning of complete pest control for cockroaches, ants, and other pests.

Indoxacarb has been classified as a "reduced risk" pesticide by the EPA.

Indoxacarb has only moderate to low toxicity, meaning that it does not cause carcinogenic, mutagenic, or developmental effects in people or pets when used in residential and commercial areas.
