How Invict Gold Roach Bait Gel Works

Invict Gold Roach Bait Gel contains 11 attractants and the powerful active ingredient Imidacloprid. Imidacloprid is a patented neonicotinoid manufactured by Bayer Cropscience. Neonicotinoids refer to the class neuro-active insecticides that are modeled after nicotine. Imidacloprid works by disrupting inhibiting stimuli transmission within the nervous system of a given insect when that insect either ingests or absorbs the poison into its body. More specifically, imidacloprid blocks a certain type of neuronal pathways which are much more prevalent in insects than mammals. That is why the chemical is much more toxic to insects than humans or animals.

Roaches are attracted to the bait matrix, then the slow-acting Imidacloprid give roaches who have consumed the bait time to transfer the bait to other roaches through contact and food-sharing, eliminating roaches far beyond the actual bait placements.

Target Pests

German Roaches

PESTS CONTROLLED WITH INVICT GOLD ROACH BAIT GEL: German Roaches

Target Uses

Invict Gold Roach Bait Gel is appropriate for any active German Roach infestation, but it is particularly helpful when encountering bait-averse roaches. Roach baits are easily applied in sensitive areas such as kitchens, and they are more effective at eliminating infestations than sprays alone. Invict Gold Roach Bait Gel is ready-to-use and ideal for situations when using sprays or dusts could be problematic. The larger 300 g tube is excellent for professionals or those treating many areas, such as hotels, apartment buildings, or institutions. Invict Gold is an excellent choice for bait rotation.

ACTIVE INGREDIENT: Imidacloprid 2.15%

Invict Gold Roach Bait Gel Application Instructions

Results will be best if spilled food and other debris are cleaned up before applying bait. Apply bait in small spots about ¼” in diameter. For most infestations, applications should range from 10 to 20 spots per 100 square feet. Smaller, more frequent spots are better than occasional large spots. Pay particular attention to cracks which lead into void areas, and specifically look for warm, moist areas. Insert the syringe tip directly into the crack and apply about 0.5g (pea size) amount of bait. Apply bait out of reach of children and pets. Inspect bait placements periodically and reapply bait as needed.

*Always read the product label completely before use.

Each 35 g tube of Invict Gold Roach Bait Gel makes approximately 35-70 placements. Each 300g tube makes 300-600 placements.

Standard application rates:

Apply bait in small spots about ¼” in diameter. For most infestations, applications should range from 10 to 20 spots per 100 square feet.

For use in the following areas:

In and around structures, including residential, multi-family, commercial, industrial, municipal, institutional, research, recreational, health care, educational, daycare, hospitality and agricultural buildings; other manmade structures, garages, transport vehicles, sewers, animal rearing and handling establishments, food handling and food processing establishments

Indoors-

Results will be best if spilled food and other debris are cleaned up before applying bait. Apply bait in small spots about ¼” in diameter. For most infestations, applications should range from 10 to 20 spots per 100 square feet. Smaller, more frequent spots are better than occasional large spots.

Look for areas, particularly cracks and crevices, where roaches may hide or enter buildings. Some of these areas include areas where baseboards are peeling away from the wall, cracks in and around equipment and appliances such as stoves, sinks, dishwashers, refrigerators and walk-in coolers, hollow table legs, areas where pipes come through walls, cracks between construction elements, around electrical boxes, cracks around hinges, where cabinets meet walls and cracks leading into wall, ceiling or floor voids. Also specifically look for warm, moist areas. Insert the syringe tip directly into the crack and apply about 0.5g (pea size) amount of bait. Apply bait out of reach of children and pets. Inspect bait placements periodically and reapply bait as needed.

Outdoors-

Invict Gold Roach Bait Gel may be applied on the outside surfaces of buildings and other structures, as well as in crawlspaces, attics, and other voids, paying particular attention to cracks where roaches may enter buildings. Bait should not be used in areas where it is easily exposed to direct sunlight, dust, rainfall, or other contaminants. Do not use bait in areas where you intend to use insecticide sprays.

Invict Gold Roach Bait Gel Features

*Ready-to-use bait is easy to apply

*For use in a wide variety of areas, including food handling establishments

*Provides rapid control of even bait-averse roaches

*Unique formulation contains 11 different food-grade attractants

Extra Tips

*Keep baits high and sprays low; do not spray over bait or in areas where bait will be used.

*Sanitation should always be the top priority when treating for roaches!

*Severe roach infestations do not develop overnight, therefore complete elimination cannot occur overnight. Diligence and repeat treatments will be required for complete control of roach infestations.

*Avoid placing bait in areas where the temperature may exceed 130 degrees F as the bait may melt and drip.

*Do not apply bait to areas that are washed down frequently.

*Do not apply bait where there is a risk of electrical shock.

*Ongoing monitoring is recommended as part of an Integrated Pest Management program.

*Bait rotation with different formulation types is important to combat bait aversion and poor control results.

    Invict Gel is Saving Us

    By Jennifer on 09/27/2012

We had tried a number of different ways to try and get rid of the roaches that appeared out of nowhere a few weeks after we moved in to the house we are in now. We have spent the last nearly 2 years fighting them. This stuff works! As I am writing this, we have been using the gel for just over a week. Mind you, we had a SERIOUS infestation, and our landlord would do nothing about it. We were seeing them all over during all hours of the day and night. There was not a time when they were worse, they were just always really bad. Here it is 1 am and I woke up to get something to drink, and there are less than half of what we used to see. There are nearly none during the day time hours, and there are only relatively few more during the night. I am in love with this stuff. We began by putting it nearly everywhere that we could where the kids and dogs couldn't reach it. I have checked all of those places every single day for over a week now and put down more where needed. If things keep going this well, this will be the product that has ended our almost 2 year battle and it will have done it in just a couple months time. Another key to this is to know thy enemy. Even when it appears that there are no more left, I will still put out some of the bait for a while in certain "high-traffic" areas. I know that just because I am no longer seeing them doesn't mean they are completely gone yet. However, I will always believe that this product is absolutely amazing, no matter what anyone else has to say about it!

    This absoutly works!!!

    By J. on 01/22/2013

I am a property manager for many multi unit and single family dwelings. I have used professional services that just haven't measured up to the expectiations to amount of money paid. I used this product upon a recommendation from a friend and was amazed with it's performance. I noticed right away the dead roaches but also noticed that it takes roughly 1 to 2 weeks to rid the problem entirely depending on the infestation.

    Infestation gone in 2 weeks

    By Xavier on 09/30/2012

I had a huge problem with roaches, it was so bad they where walking up side down in the ceiling in broad day light. A friend of mind gave me some on a foil paper and and told me to put it where ever I see them the next morning I woke up to a few dead roaches, so I decided to order 5 tubes. In two weeks of applying little dots of Invict Gold I can say I the only roaches I see is the little ones that where left behind hatching, which I plan to just buy a bottle of raid and spray the baseboards to penetrate those eggs.

    Fantastic Product

    By Sherri on 10/07/2014

    Verified Purchase

I bought just 1 tube of InVict so I could try it out. I live in an apartment, and the property management company is incompetent. I kept telling them about the roaches, they kept buying stuff from Home Depot that I had already tried myself, none of it worked. I used the InVict, and I also followed the intructions from the video on this site on where to seal up gaps and holes with caulk so that once the infestation was taken care of, the roaches cant get back in. That step really makes a difference. I put the InVict down in March, one tube was more than enough to treat my whole 2-bdrm/2 bath apartment with lots left over. It works quickly and effectively.

Q
Which one is more effective on German roaches, Invict AB Paste or Invict Gold Roach Bait Gel?

I had the opportunity to buy Invict Gold- 300gr but I lost product cause is more difficult to admin . I am trying to save money. I used to buy Invict 5x tubes for $28. And now there are 4 in the box and more expensive? I wonder if Invict AB x 5 tubes is equally effective on German roach and ants ? Please let me know. I had been customer for many years. Please tell me how can I save with baits for German roaches and ants ? Thank you for your feed back.

A
Invict Gold Roach Bait Gel is specially formulated for German Roaches with its active ingredient Imidacloprid to rapidly control even the most bait adverse German Roaches. With that being said, Invict Gold would work best for a German Roach issue, but may not do much to control your ant population because it is ONLY labled for German Roaches. On the Contrary, the Invict AB Insect Paste is an insect bait that is labeled for Ants, Roaches, and Silverfish. Using both products as part of a bait rotation plan would be very beneficial as you would be able to use the Invict AB Insect Paste for both the Ants and Roaches and it is sold 5x 35 gram tubes for $34.65, and in areas that are more heavily infested with German Roaches, you would be best served using the Invict Gold Roach Bait Gel, as this comes in a 35 gram tube for $12.95 and will give you a faster clean out of those German Roaches.

Q
Does Invict Gold have a shelf life?

How long can unopened tubes be stored? I have read that opened tubes should be used within a year, but what about sealed tubes? does the product lose efficacy or potency over time? Is there a German roach bait with longer shelf life?

A

The shelf life of Invict Gold Roach Bait Gel is 1 year once it has been opened. If the product is unopened, the shelf life is 3 years.

Q
How long to replace the bait?

I heard that we must replace the bait as it becomes hard since the roaches won't eat it. Is this true? If so, how long does the bait last after been applied? Also, what would is suggested to treat the heaters? I saw some german roaches walking on my living room and I think they are coming from the heaters. Thanks!

A
Roach gel should only be applied when there is an active problem. The gel will still work when it is hard, although it will be less effective. It works better when it is soft. Per the label, do not apply to surfaces that are about 130 degrees because the bait could melt and drip.

Q
How often do you use Invict Gold Roach Bait Gel?

I have roaches mainly in kitchen and bathroom. This has worked GREAT. I need to know how often to repeat the process. Every 30 days ect.

A
There really is no specified period of time that you would need to wait to reapply the Invict Gold Roach Bait Gel. Inspect bait placements periodically (about once a week) and reapply if the bait has been eaten or has hardened. You should also reapply the bait if it has been contaminated with cleaners or other insecticides.
