Is Battleship III Herbicide best in flowerbeds and around bushes?

Battleship III Herbicide would not be the best option for this application. We would recommend a product like Monterey Weed Impede (Surflan Herbicide). This product is designed for broadleaf weed control in ornamental flower beds and arounds shrubs.
