I plan to use Dimension (Pennington's) for crabgrass prevention in the spring, and Ferti-Lome Broadleaf Weed Control with Gallery in the Fall. Is that a good solution for fighting crabgrass and spurge through out year?
You can use either Dimension 2EW or Ferti-Lome Broadleaf Weed Control with Gallery for spurge prevention, however Dimension is a much better pre-emergent for crabgrass, especially in turf. You can do a split application with Dimension for more control year-round; please refer to the product label for application rates and instructions. The Ferti-Lome with Gallery will only give partial control or suppress crabgrass, per the product label. For spurge control, good lawn maintenance including mulching beds, keeping adequate soil moisture, and fertilizing will help to control them.
