Is QuickSilver Herbicide the best for lasting control?

Reviews of Quicksilver say its best at lasting control when mixed with other herbicides to get into the root systems. In addition to the usual southern broadleaf weeds I'm dealing with a seemingly untouchable and very extensive Alligator Weed infestation in a St. Augustine lawn to the point that parts will have to be plugged or sodded after I finally kill these weeds. What herbicide(s) and/or surfactant would you recommend to mix this with for maximum effect on the Alligator Weed without killing the existing grass?

Answer:

Unfortunately, QuickSilber Herbicide is not labeled for alligator weed, and would not control it. Most likely in your situation the best recommendation we can make would be RoundUp for spot spraying to get rid of it. There are not other herbicides that are labeled for this except ones that control aquatic weeds.
