I've put down the gel but the roaches don't even acknowledge it, what's wrong ?

There are many factors that could decrease the effectiveness of Advion Ant Bait Gel.  Please see the Bait gel placement guide.   Be sure that there are no other competing food sources such as pet food, grease, crumbs. Also be sure you are only using small dabs where you are treating.
