Muscidifurax raptorellus (parasitic wasp)
Appearance:
Visual effect
When the adult parasitic wasp emerges (within 2-5 days after receipt of the product) from the pupal shells, they will start searching for fly pupae. After parasitism, wasps of the new generation can be expected in approximately 2-3 weeks.
Parasitic wasps are just one tool in an integrated program to control stable flies. In order to have a successful program it is necessary to practice good sanitation to eliminate conditions that are favorable breeding places for flies. Keep manure as dry as possible and avoid spilling water and food. Because wasps only parasitize fly pupae, measurements to eliminate adult flies are also recommended.
Environmental conditions
Efficacy reduces at low (under 15°C) or high temperatures (higher than 38°C).
