Disappointed! It is nothing more than a cardboard tube with a very cheap plastic cover that doesn't even provide a easy way to press out the plastic tab for dispensing. I almost damaged the dispensing end because i had to physically cut out the dispensing tab….not worth the price!

It was useless. It was easier to apply the Milky Spore Power by hand.

Maybe there's a better way...
By Bruce in Colts Neck on 10/06/2015
Eighteen bucks for a cardboard tube? The plastic salt-shaker-like dispenser at the end of the tube clogged repeatedly; I had to drill a hole in it to get it to dispense according to the instructions. And after tapping the tube on the ground to get it to work, it cracked and I had to tape it up. Much of the problem is with the product itself -- if you don't use this dispenser, you have to use a tablespoon to apply it to your lawn. Pain in the neck.

Overpriced and cheap...but it did work....but
By Jason in Kathleen on 10/16/2016
I have not used a dust product since I was a kid in my dad's garden. Knowing what I know now, I could have drill holes in a small can and applied with a good shake every 4' and gotten the same results a whole lot cheaper. I lived and learned. Hope this helps. JL

No issues with dispenser
By Michael in E. Williston, NY on 09/20/2015
This tube works perfect and helped me do half acre in no time. The secret is in the technique to use. The position for dispensing hole need to be on the screen and the tube need to hit the ground in a slide angle to allow the dust to come out. If you hit the ground on a 90 degree no much dust will come out as the grass will cover the holes. Also hit the ground firmly. Before filling the tube mix the dust so the powder is lose in the dispensing tube. Good luck and kill those suckers!!!

Not worth the money - Made my own
By Lloyd in Virginia on 07/24/2017
Made of cardboard and the end clogs. Made my own using a couple of vacuum cleaner tubes. Taped them to a large coffee can to hold the powder and dropped a teaspoon of the powder into the tube every 4 feet. This works a lot better and no bending over to put the powder onto the ground.

QIs the dust applied by just sprinkling it on the lawn/garden and then watered?
How exactly does the dispenser tube work?
AThe Milky Spore Tube Dispensers are great for treating larger areas with more convenience. You would simply pour the Milky Spore Powder into the Dispenser Tube, break open the seal at the bottom of the tube and apply the Milky Spore Powder in a spot application: one teaspoon of powder every four feet in rows four feet apart to achieve a checkerboard pattern of spots throughout the treated area. Once you have completed the application, you should water in the powder in all of the treated area for about 15 minutes. Only one application is required, but may take one to four years to gain optimum control.

QHow to fill Lawn & Garden Dispenser Tube with Milky Spore Powder in tube?
This is probably dumb, but are you supposed to somehow pry the top of the tube off in order to load it? the end opposite the dispensing end? I'm sure that falls into "DUH" for most folks, but I wanted to make sure. thx
A To fill the the Lawn and Garden Dispenser Tube for Milky Spore Powder you simply take a knife and cut the tab at the bottom of the tube. Turn tup upside down and fill the tube with Milky spore, turn tab to the gridded patter. Test Dispenser over sheet of paper to measure one teaspoon. Apply in rows every four feet, in roys four feet apart.

QWhy would I buy more than one Lawn and Garden Dispenser Tube to apply Milky Spore Powder?
A The Lawn and Garden Dispenser Tube for Milky Spore is an applicator used to properly apply the milky spore product. Unless you have multiple people applying the product over a large area, most customers would only need one tube.
