Directions for Use

Shake well before use and periodically during use.
This product can be used indoors and outdoors.

The spray top has a mist setting and a straight stream setting. The mist setting is good for covering a number of insects from fairly close range. The straight stream setting is good for shooting from a distance, at a nest, or injecting into cracks or wood-destroying insect tunnels/galleries. Don’t use this product in the same area where you’ve used a Maggie’s Farm insect bait. Baits work by the insect eating them. This product is a contact killer and repellent, so you want to be sure not to repel insects from an area where you put down bait.

Carpenter Ants:

The most effective control for any ant species is to locate and treat the nest(s) if possible. When you find a nest, spray until wet with the product. Repeat if there is still activity a day or two later. If Carpenter ants have infested wood or wall voids, inject the product through an existing opening or drill a small hole(s) so that you can reach the nest with the product.

To help stop ants and other pests from coming inside, spray any entry points you find, and possible entry areas such as cracks around window and door frames, and around pipes and wires that come into the building, and around light fixtures.

Other Wood-Infesting Insects - Beetles and Borers, Termites, Carpenter Bees and Wood Wasps:

Find areas where pests have infested including tunnels, galleries and cavities and inject product until the area is moist. Drill small holes 8-10” apart in the infested area to be sure galleries can be treated thoroughly. For Carpenter bees, treat the entrance holes and then plug with stainless steel wool. For termites, this product is only a supplemental treatment to kill workers and winged forms that are present in the area when you treat. It is not a substitute for a professional treatment. For any infestation of a wood-destroying pest where structural damage has occurred or could occur, we recommend you contact a professional.

General Insect Control:

To kill general flying and crawling insects, spiders and plant pests, spray product to contact as many insects as possible. Spray until damp, but not running off. You can also treat areas where pests tend to land, rest, or hide. Repeat as needed.

Stinging Insects:

Be extremely careful when treating stinging insects. Spray the insect from several feet away using the straight stream setting. For protection, cover as much of your skin as possible with clothing. Individuals who are allergic to insect stings should never treat stinging insects. Have someone else do the treatment or call a professional. This product is not recommended for nest treatments. For nests in walls or nests in the ground, use Maggie’s Farm Spider and Insect Dust. For outdoor hanging or tree nests, use Maggie’s Farm Flea, Tick and Mosquito Killer in the hose-end spray bottle, using the straight-stream setting. Read the label directions on those products before using.
