I bought the Martins Surrender Fire Ant Killer to use in conjunction with a broadcast bait. I have not put out the broadcast bait as I am waiting for some trees to be cut down this week.I find it does not work any better than over the counter killer which I could buy at the box store at half the price. I will not buy it again. I use the potato chip to see if they are feeding before I apply it. The bed may seem to be gone, but it just seems to go deeper into the yard, and I have to reapply it more than one time. On my only flower bed, I had to apply it three different times in the same spot until I could work in the bed.

I am in desperate need of help. I don't know how to get rid of the odor. Product works great but the smell outside lasts months (not days). It smells horrendous. Even after the mounds are gone, the powder doesn't fit away. After several weeks I tried watering it (drenching it) to get rid of the smell and nothing works. I can't bring anyone through the front door without thinking there's a dead rodent!! What is that smell and how the heck do I get rid of it? Maybe I used too much. I don't know. Any suggestions.

I had tried everything & was on the verge of moving out when my friend comes over & sprinkles this powder down as directed. Within 2 days all these cockroaches were gone!

I have been using this product about 3 years now and it works! I had the fire ants on our farm under control until I ran out of product. I just reorder a supply and my grandson and I rode over the fields and "doctored" 19 ant hills. (He said grandma this stuff smells terrible!) The next day we rode over and checked for activity in the hills. Only 2 had any movement, there were tons of dead ants . "Redoctored" those 2 and now no activity. It's amazing to watch the powder disappear when you spread it on the hills...the ants boil out and I guess they are carrying it into the hive because it disappears as you watch! Thanks for such a great product!

Help my tenants put this in the property and I can't seem to get rid of this stinky smell!! What do I need to do ?? Have to say it does get rid of all bugs and maybe anybody wanting to come in to your home too.

Thank you for your review/ question. Once down there isn't much you can do. If outside water down as much as possible. If inside, clean it up as much as possible. Once you do, you can use soap/water/bleach and scrub all areas that were sprayed. Product arrived in great shape and before expected date. This stuff smells pretty bad, but works great! Applied it in the afternoon and the fire ants were gone when I checked the next morning.

I am so pleased with this product...I was skeptical at first but glad I ordered and will order again....oh the smell is mind blowing but hey! If you can get pass that you have a product that's 100% proof...

This the best product that I have ever used. After a few days of applying it on the mounds I spotted in my lawn, I discovered some that I had missed. Every one that I newly discovered was killed as well.

Great stuff. I had 90 mounds and used Martins on all the mounds early one morning. 20 percent of the mounds we're dead the next morning. 60 percent were dead by 2nd day 80 percent 3rd day and 100 percent by the 4th day. There were a few new mounds that popped up but I used Martins on on the mounds and they died out fast also. After 2 weeks and up to 2 months I haven't found any new mounds.

Fire ants are a pain (literally) to get rid of. This product works great. Warning though, it STINKS! I'm willing to put up with the smell because it works.

I have used surrender in fire ant beds for 2 yrs now. I have big property with my dog kennels, and usually after a rain, here comes alot of fire ants/bed surrender is amazing ant killer and I actually enjoy putting surrender in, around, and all over a ant bed.. martins surrender is fantastic

I've tried many popular brands of ant killers and never gotten the results that were acceptable, some times they killed ants but 85% of the time they had no effect on the ant mound. I'm now hooked on Surrender. I couldn't imagine how effective it works. I have 6 acres and many ant mounds, I put 1 teaspoon on each mound within 24 hrs the mound is dead. Don't let the small size of the package fool you it goes a long way. Like I said I've tried many brands but none of them compare to Surrenders mound killing effectiveness and cost per mound. I will never switch and go back to any other brand.

this is the best product to get rid of ants in my opinion may turn grass brown but will grow back and no ants the only problem I had with my order one of my cans was bent on arrival but arrived when promised thanks.

Killed 11 out of 12 hills. Very happy, but it sure does stink. My mailbox smelled bad for 2-3 days after it was delivered.

It's very easy to use! Just take an ice pick and punch a few holes in the top foil after removing the lid. It appears to kill all the ants as there are none left in the mound that I can tell after a day or so. But then I see other mounds a few days later so I don't know if it is killing all of them or not. But this is my second can to purchase from Do My Own. I am completely satisfied with the process. And delivery is prompt.

Worked in three locations. It does stink to the point I thought the ants may be moving to get away from the smell. I changed my storage from my garage to my large crawl space.

Our lawn was awful, fire ants everywhere, they were even getting into our home. I went to the local co-op, was told to use this....they are DEAD, EVEN THE MOUND! USER BEWARE: IT SMELLS LIKE DECOMP.!!!!

I love this product. One application and the fire ants are gone, no new mounds have re-appeared. The product has a very strong odor but who cares as long as it does the trick. I have wasted a lot of money on other products that only forced the ants to move to another area and only killed a few ants.
