I can't really give this item a poor rating. Why? Well, because I believe that if the prey were larger and more aggressive, these stations will work wonders. Well, that is, if you plan to use them outdoors. Now, for indoor use only, these things have real potential. And the fact that they are refillable keeps cost down. So, I recommend that you use them indoors only for the best results because there are too many variables (such as weather, and animal/pedestrian traffic) that can interfere with their performance out-of-doors.

These “Make Your Own” bait stations can be trailered for ants or roaches...depending on what you use...or both!! Make your own bait matrix..I use borax or boric acid toxicants mixing these with various baits. Mixing and matching honey/powdered sugar/peanut butter/syrup/others..and/or using granular baits sling with a mixed bait. There are four reservoirs molded into these “Refillable” bait stations..just flip the top open and squeeze some ant or roach gel and your bait...see what the critters want!! I have found using boric acid latched baits...such as peanut butter...that same bait will attract roaches and ants effectively. For ants of course..search for where the ants are entering if possible and place these stations there and take a cloth sprayed with Windex or soapy washcloth and wipe the pheromone trail away forcing the ants to cluster around the bait station/s... for roaches..it doesn't matter..just place in areas roaches are spotted. I appreciate Do My Own stocking a excellent assortment of insecticides and implements and the shipping cost included in the price. I am a one man show pest control operator so my chemical needs can vary...so I kind of order when I need it type basis. But DMO prices are great...sometimes you do need to plan ahead since sometimes the product is shipped out of Georgia...I'm on the westcoast but even still...shipping time is usually spot on. Great product these refillable DIY bait stations.

I like them, they work very well. Gell does not dry in them.
