Mosquito Control Kit - Ultimate

I think the system works as well as the professional treatments I have had done, based on the one and only trial so far with the DIY kit. Of course it is early in the season and mosquitos are not yet established. The Solo equipment seems to be high quality. I would rate as 4 not 5 stars because the gravity feed system for the pesticide to the blower nozzle, makes the equipment not function for coverage upward, as necessary for eaves, overhangs and tall shrubs or trees. I now know why an optional attachment is offered for sale to spray up. But it seems like the ability to spray upwards ought to be considered fundamental, not optional. Hence a less than ideal rating for the kit.

So Far So Good

In an instant DMOPC took care of a broken piece of equipment without making me jump through many hoops. Once resolved, I sprayed my yard with the kit, and my kids have been out every night since without any bites. Fingers crossed as we get deeper into the season that this kit does the trick. We are in South Florida where the skeeters are big enough to carry you off! The instructions make it easy to calculate the amount needed to spray and at what rate.

Initial Use

It's too early to say with certainty but initial results seem to be what others have said and that there seems to be nearly no mosquitoes after spraying. I live by a swamp and the mosquitoes were terrible. I think they're not as bad as they were in numbers before I sprayed but nothing now. The only bad thing about the unit is that it is leaking the chemical mixture on me when filled full. I will have to see if there is something I can do to remedy this problem.

Solo mister/blower kit

The SOLO 451 is nice blower. I live in Washington State on five acres of wooded property and yes, we do have mosquitos here lol. Me and my wife were a little hesitant at first about spending a large sum of money on something we have not actually seen in action but we had to do something if we wanted to enjoy being outdoors. The blower arrived as promised and was fairly easy to assemble and operate but once you fill the tank it is pretty heavy and a little ackward getting it on your back. The blower nozzle does tend to work itself loose when operating but other than that it does as advertised. We now go outside in tank tops and shorts with no fear of getting bit by mosquitoes. I ordered some fly killing solution and flea and tick control solution as well and will be spraying this week. Another satisfied and happy customer:-)!

Mosquito Control

Great machine, does a great job. One thing I don't like and have had trouble with is the plastic clamps. Particularly the one that holds the straight hose to the swivel. It comes apart at least once every time I have used the equipment. I am going to replace it with a metal screw clamp. Personally, I think these clamps should be metal and not plastic. That's the only issue I've experienced so far.

Mosquito Control Kit

Works great! Mosquitoes were the worst this spring that I can remember (40+ yrs). Even out in numbers during mid day. So I ordered this kit. Soon as I got it and got it assembled the mosquitoes disappeared !! Did not even have to use it. Did not even get the gasoline in it. Just buying it seemed to exterminated the problem. Now we have LESS mosquitoes than I have ever seen in July/Aug. Guess I am ready for next year.

Great products , and purchasing experience

Simple assembly. Easy start up instructions. Performance on fogger was great. Exactly what I was hoping for. Comfortable to wear. I wish the first connection from blower to arm was a tad more flexible for spraying up. I like to get up tree trunks and over low branches. It certainly can be done, just wish there was some type of gyroscope/ swivel. Used as directed on the chemicals , used 3/4 types included in kit. The dry powder isn't labeled as safe for Pets when dry . But after 1 application saw a drastic drop in mosquito in the yard. And complete elimination of finding ticks on the dogs. Weary of online purchases for things like this, but after some research I felt this was a great reliable machine. So far so good. Better option than paying someone $30-$50 every 20-30 days.
