Need to kill St. Augustine & Ivy ground over

Getting ready to put a 1950's home on the market and want to remove existing Ivy ground cover (1490 sq ft) and St. Augustine lawn (870 sq ft). Will then add new Marathon sod and plants. What product should I buy and what is the time frame between kill and new planting?

Answer:

The best product would likely be a non-selective weed killer such as Gly Pho-Sel Pro. Gly Pho-Sel Pro with 41% Glyphosate is a high quality fast acting systemic total vegetation weed killer. Sprayed on weeds and grasses, Gly Pho-Sel Pro 41% starts working fast, within 1-2 hours, and kills weeds and grasses on contact, roots an all.
The GlyPhoSel will break down in the soil within about 1 week after its sprayed on the weeds/grasses and then new sod can be put down at any time after that.
